About our Doctor: Dr. Bartemus is a Board Certified Family Practitioner with over 8 years of experience in the area of Bariatrics (Weight Management). He is a Sigma Sigma Phi Honorary Graduate of South Eastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988, with an undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Florida in 1984. He completed an AMA Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991, serving as Chief Resident and receiving the G. Gayle Stevens Award as "Outstanding Resident of the Year" in 1991.He has practiced in the Central Florida area since that time. He has two children, Whitney and Giovanni.His other areas of interest include: Sports Medicine, Alternative Medicine and The Martial Arts. He is an active member of the AMA, AOA, AAFP & the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP). |

Janice Gregory, A.R.N.P.
Janice joined our office in September of 2005, she has years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in both primary care offices, emergency rooms and hospitals. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. She is married and has two children .She has been a great asset to our office as she works well with Dr. Bartemus and our patients in providing excellent patient care. What is a Nurse Practitioner??? A Nurse Practitioner is a primary health care provider who works in collaboration with a physician to deliver health care to both children and adults. Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses (RN’s) who have completed additional education, have earned a Master’s Degree or higher and have clinical training in a specialty area. Nurse Practitioners bring a strong nursing emphasis to a physician like role. |

Press Release DOCTOR’S WEIGHT CONTROL On July 15, 2002, Doctor’s Weight Control opened their doors in Clermont. Dr. Robert Bartemus thought that Clermont would be a great location to open his first weight management office. He was right, over the past 3 years, Doctor’s Weight Control has become a very important part of the community by offering a safe, healthy and affordable weight loss program.
